Surely for Thai public consumption, promoting the idea that the powers that be in Thailand have reach beyond their borders (in other words, fooling the slaves into thinking their masters have any real power).

Again, I say the British government needs to stand up for its citizens and warn them before going to that backwards and morally bankrupt country. This is salt in the wound for any British family who suffered when Thailand killed their family members.

Nearly all guests in Thailand have only positive things to think about the place until the Thais damage their own reputation by abusing people they should be taking care of. That is the bottom line: Thais have damaged their reputation and they deserve nothing less than to be openly held responsible and not be allowed to abuse the citizens of other countries.

I don't think this murder could of been made any worse for the victims or families, i think they earned a right to speak their minds. Most westerners value family & justice way way higher than thais so money can't make this go away.

I'm afraid, that as far as I'm concerned she is telling porkies. Unless someone has been ringing her with threats or offers of money (which seems very unlikely) then any correspondence between the Thai authorities and her must have been carried out by 'words on paper' or electronically. Both of which she should be able to produce as evidence to fight her case should she be unluckily enough for them to follow through on their actions to sue her!!

Has Andy been in touch to act on her behalf, I wonder - probably not I would guess, as he has a few issues of his own to fight against!! For his sake, I hope that he employs a more capable defence team in his battles than those that botched the KT case so catastrophically.

There is no chance of Laura ever being extradited to Thailand.

On June 17th 2015, the Thailand Office of the Attorney General applied to the government of New Zealand for the extradition of Ekapob Luara, a United Nations refugee to answer a charge of Lese Majeste. The New Zealand government did not respond even though he had continued with the offense after being granted refugee status in that country under a UN quota system..

The Office of the Attorney General was asked how many other requests were current for extradition to Thailand from all countries'

Not one country in June of 2016 even said thank you for your letter Thailand.

Two important points re extradition to Thailand.1) Capital punishment. 2) As the editorial published in the New Zealand Herald said at the time, " Youthful indiscretion is not a crime in NZ". For extradition to be successful the crime and the punishment has to be relevant to and in both countries.
