The procedure of legalization the fatherhood,

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I would like to know the procedure of legalizing the fatherhood for 3 children, 11,6 and 4 years old,

We need to know the practical steps if someone ever done this before?

what are the requirements? paper or documents to be prepared, fees, and approximate duration to be completed,

Plz take a notice that the father and Thai mother of the kids are not registered their marriage,

Thanks in advance,

Simpel, go to the amphur and with mother and the 11 year old child and asked to be recognised as the legal father.

They will ask for a translation of your name into Thai, so if you have a WP take that along. Other docuemnts will depend on the amphur, some mae it easy some make it difficult.

The other 2 children you will have to petition the court to become the legal father.

Thanks offset,

I collected some related links, "How to gain parental rights as a Father" in the below link,

http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/381917-how-to-gain-parental-rights-as-a-father/

In the 3 options, I guess option 3 is the relevant to the current case of my friend, he and the mother are agreed of this process,

what only the need to know: how to start the process,

step one: what to prepare?

step two: where to go?

step three: what is next etc..

As well this link about: Custody of Child in Thailand,

http://thailawonline.com/en/family/children/custody-of-a-child-thailand.html

I guess he must go to the Amphur, then they will advise him better,

Thanks
