if this happened back home they would have ripped them to shreds, as a resident of pattaya and a reader of both the pattaya mail and pattaya people weekly, after reading the pattaya mail this week i realized that something was missing from their paper but could not put my finger on it, i picked up the pattaya people weekly and on the cover was a story of an organization of tourist agents and the like having a meeting here in pattaya, as i started to go through the pattaya people weekly it hit me what was missing from the pattaya mail, there crime reports were omitted, there was not one story about so much as a gold necklace snatching ( and that a regular occurance here)

the weekly had their usual 5 to 7 pages of crime but for the first time since i have been reading the mail, there was not one story of a crime being commited in this city, i wrote to pattaya mail asking them why, week after week they had no problem reporting crime but when some people from a tourist group come to town pattaya turns into fantasyland, every city i know has to deal with crime pattaya is no different those of us who live here accept the good with the bad if the pattaya mail doesn't have the guts to print the news as it happens i hope they discontinue their paper, newspapers have a responsibility to report the new as it happens not cherry pick their storys like communist countrys do

i still haven't heard from the pattaya mail people

Give it time, they are probably busy sorting out your free hard copy subscription by way of thanks for you encouraging readers of this thread to check out their website... :o

You won't hear from them Peter and his well trained staff only give lip service for the word "service" when you are face to face with them, after you are out of sight you are ignored or pigeon hole to some staff person whose job if to ignore you long enough that you will walk away. Peter makes a big to do about what a businessman he is, but his lack of response will someday be his undoing.

They are simply afraid to rock the boat. :o

Naka.
