You have the wrong idea. Am agent in Thailand is not there to do your work or save you money. They are there to make commission. They will do this by charging you as much as they can.

Firstly, look on the popular real estate sites. Secondly, get a Thai speaker you can trust to make the calls for you.

If you are struggling get your Thai speaker to ask the local win motorcy guys about property under xxxx baht per month.

Good advice. Find an area. Send in a Thai to ask questions. You will be surprised at how much locals know about whats for sale. Just dont use the 'F' word.
