So I thought you should know.

I found Boyd on this forum. Someone highly recommended him.

I took my MBP to him. It has a problem with display, it didn't work.

Yesterday I got it back and guess what? Display works but other than that I found 6 MORE PROBLEMS WITH DISPLAY (which was new by the way: warranty case).

On Monday I will go back to speak with him.

So instead of just solving 1 problem I got 6 new instead.

You think 100 times before giving your machine to that guy. And sure if you can take it somewhere in Bangkok.

Well it was probably me that recommends him.... when you go back on Monday, just speak to him nicely and he'll probably sort the problem... he's very honest from my experience of dealing with hm for years, now.thumbsup.gif

If it's under warranty why would you not have taken it to ICare, part of Ibeats at the Tesco mall complex in Chawang... ? They do warranty work, although I have not dealt with them.... That info has been posted on Samui forum several times...

It was on the warranty when guys from Apple replaced the display. Not anymore though.

I hope it'll be all right. We should have met today, but he saif he stuck in Suratthani so we moved our meeting on Monday.

The thing that bugs me most is that I'm outta here on the next Monday and I'll only come back in 3-4 months.

Yes he goes to Surrat to see his kids on week ends....

Be nice with him... I am sure he will resolve the problem for you, many Mac users here on Samui, find him to be good....

PM me if you have a problem getting things resolved ..... wink.png

Update:

I went to Boyd today at 10 am. At 12 pm it was ready.

I am still not sure what happened because the whole display looked like a mess both on system level and externally.

Now everything is all right though.

I am not sure if there's someone on the island who can fix your mac, so if you go here make sure to check your mac after it's fixed.

By the way, he also has 3 month warranty for his work.
