Anti-semitic French comedian Dieudonné forced to leave Thailand

Good.clap2.gif Happy to hear Thailand kicked out that horrible Jew hater.

Agree that there's no need to give someone like him a paid platform for disseminating hate, but wish the same rules applied in France (or any other place) to those who intentionally spread hate against Muslims for no other purpose than to incite violence and as a supposed exercise in freedom of speech.

I seem to recall a lot of posters on TV applauding the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and the absence of any censorship.

True enough. You either support free speech or you don't. It is not a grey area.

You cannot support the right of Charlie Hebdo, the Danish cartoonist, or Salaman Rushdie and others to comment satirically and politically about Islam and then censor any comments about the Jews or Jewish faith.

I might hate and detest what someone says, and may not find it the least bit funny, but I'll argue his right to say it.

Too often now if someone says something not PC they are vilified as Nazi racist fascist anti semitic scum bags who must be denied the right of free speech. The irony and underlying danger of such is lost on those who spout it.

a great advocate for peace?...

How some people can say that, he publicly denies the holocaust and it's ok for you to have some people like that doing shows around the world saying this?....

Please share with us any links/articles, where "he publicly denied the holocaust" ... you won't find any.

If he had, it's a serious offense in France:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gayssot_Act

There are plenty of articles regarding this, even on his own wiki page he describes the holocaust as "memory pornography" for Jews. It's one of the reasons he served prison time in Belgium and is banned from the UK. He is a promoter of terrorism and hatred.

If he is not funny and nobody wants to see him then it should not matter as nobody would turn up for his show, right?

I know nothing about this guy, but censorship is always wrong.

Thailand, the hub of censorship.

So you openly support people who promote terrorism and hatred. What a nice person you are.

No he doesn't. He points that that censoring someone just because you disagree with them is not what free speech means.

Do you understand why?

You just wrote an example of how those who wish to muffle views they don't like attempt to accuse someone of something different.

The last thing zionists want is for the truth and all of their lies to be exposed. Always playing the victim but responsible for most of the hate and murder that's gone on in the world for the last 150 years. Who controls the world banking system, mass media, US foreign policy and who were the bolsheviks that were responsible for the genocide of countless millions of Russian and Ukranian christians? Wake up and stop listening to their drivel and please no accusations or lectures about me being an anti semite. Plenty of jews are anti zionist.

Don't believe me? Click on the video link for a good short film.

^^ these type of jewis are against zionism and the state of israel because of radical religious reasons, ie. god did not choose the state of israel, people did. therefor according to them zionism and the state of israel are evil.

this been said: imo denying the holocaust should be allowed, same as insulting jesus or mohammed. sure, it's stupid and provocative to deny the holocaust but if that is the guy's opinion. opinions don't kill people......

Opinions certainly do kill people. Hitler's opinions caused the death of 6 million Jews, 2 million gypsies and million upon millions of young men around the World. The opinion of a few Muslims caused the death of Charlie Hebdo.

Freedom of speech brings with it responsibility. People like you who don't understand this and think free speech should not be curtailed are the kind of people who start wars. People like you accept free speech at any cost are usually hypocrites because you will be the first person who complains when the National Front say all n*ggers are worthless animals who only want to rape whitey.

Seems like only anti christian remarks are tolerated these days.

The word is not anti Christian I believe but is actually contempt It is that we are not allowed to defend.

Here is a quote from wikipedia about misandry that you may find interesting.

Religious Studies professors Paul Nathanson and Katherine Young made similar comparisons in their 2001 three-book series Beyond the Fall of Man,[9] which refers to misandry as a "form of prejudice and discrimination that has become institutionalized in North American society", saying "The same problem that long prevented mutual respect between Jews and Christians, the teaching of contempt, now prevents mutual respect between men and women.

The only responsibility that comes with freedom of speech is the responsibility of thought.

If we deny freedom of speech then we kneel to bullies that would gladly tell us that we cannot speak.

sound like anyone you know?

How many innocent people have been burned at the stake due to false accusation made by people with their own agendas?

Yeah nobody wants to hear anti Semitic drivel.

But why is it that some countries, make it a point to want people to respect their customs/culture and religious beliefs.

Yet couldn't care less and have no interest in other peoples customs/culture and religious beliefs, even going as far as giving foreigners racist tags, and religious bigotry for their own people.

Seems whats good for the goose isn't good for the gander.

Racial and religious tagging and discrimination is against the law in my country.

Very fast reaction ? What about the anti rohinga boat traffickers, foreign criminals, etc etc etc . No deportations there. - one satirical comedian big news. Have you even read / watched his materials? This is perfect TV bait news

I am neither anti-Semite nor in particular favour of the jews; let them go their way as long as they let me go my way.

Yet I wonder what kind of audience this gentleman would have attracted, if any, in Phuket? I am not aware that there is a big French-speaking Thai community nor any particular anti-semite community for that fact. And most likely the "show" would have been in French rather than English. Another query is the name of the venue.

The only thing which was definitely achieved is, that this - to me completely unknown "artist" - got the full lime light straight on him; had he had his show the venue would have been almost empty, not repeated and a frustrating event for everybody!

i agree 100% ....they made from a sand bucket a big mountain....this guy is...well was... popular only in france/ quebec and only in french so....but the israelit are every where and dont forgive nor forget....!

he should have done is show first and later make publicity of it ..!

Can nobody see that this guy has been tagged. Hong Kong and now here. They are following him and doing everything short of sanctioning him to make his life impossible.

This is pure and simple vengeance and, in its own way, persecution.

There is none. If he had denied the holocaust, he would have been easily convicted for this in France. He has not been convicted for this.

The "Memory pornography" quote, does not in any way means he denied the holocaust.

Again, a video of him visiting Auschwitz:

You have the right not to like his humour (assuming you understand French) or his position on certain topics, but have the intellectual honesty of not repeating incorrect facts or ... pure lies.

But is he funny?

Racism - bigotry - anti (whatever?) is alive and well all over the world among all races and nationalities.

It is a fact of life!

Only a fool thinks he can change the human psyche.

And it is a bigger fool who can not laugh at himself.

Political Correctness is a curse on the ass of humanity.

Unless a person is a sissy and needs the guilt card for leverage.

To perform he needed a work permit.

Why provide him a work permit and stop his work afterwards ?

Even if he was just deported from Hong Kong...

He is/was accused of sympathy for terrorism.

How could he enter LOS ?

I'm still not clear why anti semitism can get you banned or deported from so many countries, while anti Muslim sentiment gains approval world wide.

I don't subscribe to belifs on either side of the equation, but something seems out of balance.

Not true several anti Islamic speakers have been banned form the UK but hate preachers for the pedophile prophet have not had as many problems. Anti Islamic sentiments (not muslim) are likely to be favored due to the evil that religion rains down on the world every day.

Interesting case. Thailand does give a s%$* about antisemitism. There must been pressure from very very very high to kick him out. Think about all the Hakenkreuz shirts and tatooes around the country. I have meet a Thai guy around 21 year of age who had many Hitler based tattoos on his body and was very proud of it. I spared my time to explained him that his would probably get in trouble if he trouble with this in Europe.

There is a Hitler shop one soi off the main soi going into Minburi Jatajack.

It seems several posters fail to understand the difference between free speech and racism.

Free speech means you can criticise or mock opinions, ideas, beliefs, policies, etc....

Example you criticise zionism (some Jews even do, i.e. peace now), you criticise or mock some religions (i.e. Charlie Hebdo did it with ALL religions), etc...

Racism is about targeting people: to mock, insult, or induce hate towards a group of people because of their religion, ethnicity, country of origin, etc....

He claims France is run by Jewish "slave drivers" and compares himself to Hebdo killer Amedy Coulibaly. He was jubilant after the Hebdo killings. Anti semitic, pro Islamist hater, scum. And not very funny.

He is probably an Islamic that antisemitism comes part and parcel of the package. He probably hates Christians just as much and anti western.

Glad he`s been booted out

The guy is well known as an antizionist not antisemit and one does not necessarily need to be a "Nazi" to oppose Israels land claims and settlement policy over Palestine. Recently someone asked me a question: Besides the tragedy of the genocide of the Holocaust- why is it that Zionists got kicked out for centuries of almost any country they settled in from Russia to African countries to Kerala ? Don't you think there must be a reason for that?

Well, I guess it is worth to think about...

Kudos to the Isreali ambassador for being so vigilant, I wonder however how he knew about that upcoming show?

The show was cancelled due to final request of French ambassador.

The comic is a French and Cameroonese citizen. Israel has no legitimate request to do to Thailand. The previous shows (criminal or not?) happened mainly on French soil and souvereignty.

A judicial blunder from the Israeli ambassador to ask to the theatre owners, because it's out of his jurisdiction.

Asking also to the Thai Governor and cc to the PM was also out of his international judicial powers.

He was backed up by the CRIF, the French AIPAC, which 'arranged' an official French request from the French ambassador in Thailand, through minister of foreign affairs...Laurent Fabius, a French Jew...to the Thai authorities...

His show was mainly based on jokes like that...

ImageUploadedByThaivisa Connect1454300637.334526.jpg

This is all a lame attempt at deflection. IF the Israeli Ambassador, or any foreign ambassador, had attempted to "order" or "impose" or even "insist", then this whole discussion of "jurisdiction" might have some marginal relevance. But he merely made a "request". Anybody can "request" anything, and more often than not that's how things work when it comes to the diplomatic community. Nothing remotely "judicial" about it. If you want to natter about "jurisdiction", then address those that actually MADE the decision to honor the request.

Based on all the sickening antisemitic posts on this thread, I have no doubt the Frenchie could have filled a STADIUM here IF only he could do his show in ENGLISH. I won't bother with this thread much; however, it is interesting to see the Jew hating crazy.gif flotsam and jetsamcrazy.gif that has been SMOKED out though. The usual suspects of course but we have some new faces!

Labeling Dieudonne as an islamic just shows your level of ignorance on this subject. Please, do you a favor, stay away from topics you have no clue about.
