Does anyone know where photos, which will meet the specific requirements of the UK passport office, can be obtained in Patong ?

In December 2015, I applied for my son's new passport. I took his photo myself and just changed the colour of the background before printing to the correct size. They were accepted with no problems.

I generally do passport and immigration photos myself, with a little help from Photoshop.

Failing that, any of the "Kodak" or "Fuji" shops in Patong should be able to produce what you need. Just be specific regarding size and background.

In particular, the "Kodak" shop on Sainamyen just west of Rat-U-Thit 200 Pii Rd has some very skilled people who will take your photo, modify it with Photoshop and provide multiple prints while you wait. My wife recently went there to get a photo for a diploma, and I was amazed at how they used Photoshop to retouch and even digitally change out the clothing she was wearing to adhere to school standards. Cost was around 200 baht, including 6 prints.

Correction: the "Kodak" shop i referred to is just east (away from the beach) of Rat-U-Thit 200 Pii Rd on Sainamyen.
