iPhone 6 alarm

Featured Replies

My old Nokia had a nice loud alarm that I could use to wake myself up in the morning.

I tried doing that with my iPhone 6 and it is not loud enough. Is there any way to make the alarm louder?

I already chose the most obnoxious sound.

I am not so tech savvy so please thoroughly explain any ideas.

Thanks!

Firstly, make sure the volume is on maximum - obvious I know but its easy for it to get turned down. Maybe find a more penetrating tone - high pitched may not work so well if you've spent years listening to loud music!. I have mine on the bedside table - when the alarm goes off the vibrate function and sound is amplified by the table - that might help.

Is the alarm volume controlled by the external volume control on the top left? It didn't seem to make a difference. MY Nokia vibrated a lot louder. I have tried several tones. Thanks for your help.

How could my old Nokia be better at this than the 6? I would think a lot of people would use it for their alarm.

If you got time on your hands and you know a bit about PC's then do a google search how to make your own ringtone and pick one that is loud, better still see if you can find the Nokia alarm and use that

Some apps have their own volume level. So if the app is only on 30% and the phone is on 100%, you only get 30% of the apps available volume.

Check the app itself to see if there is a volume slider.

Thanks everyone. The slider is all the way to the right. I chose the most obnoxious sound. The Nokia vibrates loudly.

Does anyone have experience with a good third party app?
