Donsak Pier to Koh Samui car ferry

Hi there,

Does anyone have any experience of pre-booking any Donsak car ferry? We are driving down to Koi Samui in May to attend a wedding there but hear that the ferry can be a nightmare as there are no pre-booking available, so long wait and issues with Farangs not having the right 'cards'??
