Thailand - Nightlife

Hey guys

I'm traveling to Thailand (Bangkok, Koh Phangan, Koh Samui) in 2 weeks, and I have a few questions to those who've already been there, and are party amateurs just like me. I'm staying 5 days in Haad Rin because the night life is apparently amazing. I know there are mostly beach parties, but are there (in Haad Rin) some classy clubs where you can buy a table and get some bottles? Are there locals girls at the parties or is it mostly farangs? Do hookers/ladyboys usually stay away from those places? Same questions for Koh Samui, Chaweng. In Bangkok, what nice clubs would you recommend me that close late (3-5am) and are near Golden Mount? My budget is 950$ for 2 weeks (hotels + flight are already paid), is it enough, considering that I'm probably gonna party everyday and do activities like snorkeling, jet ski, renting quads and a few others.

I actually didn't make myself very clear. I'm planning to party everyday but I would buy drinks at a random store and drink before going into the club. However, I wanted to buy a table maybe 2-3 times with a couple of my buddies, which would cut the price.

In Chaweng, they have 3 or 4 main clubs. Ark bar on the beach, usually closes around 2am. Green Mango and Sound club usually open later.

If you are partying every day and going on trips etc $950 is unlikely to be a big enough budget. Most full day trips from Samui cost about $40 - $80. Beer in the 7-11 will cost you about $1 a bottle of Thai beer. Sangsom bottle costs about $10.

The prices in bars/clubs for beer are usually 2-4 times this depending on the place. Premium spirits in bars and clubs are usually quite expensive.

You can find lots of bars around chaweng though doing happy hour or special offers, cheap buckets etc.

The problem with partying though is once you get drunk there are a tonne of things to keep spending your money on. So if you want to budget on that you will need to be careful how you spend when you get drunk.

Phangan doesnt do the club scene as you picture it.

parties are more informal, and occur at various venues around the island, generally outdoors.

Biggest party aside from full moon is Jungle experience, half moon (just over). Light house does weekly parties that are great. Guys Bar and Eden are weekends. these all start later and go all night. watch also for merkaba, Infinty beach club. Infinity sounds like it may be right up you alley. All the venues i have mentioned are house music, if you are into commercial hip hop etc, i cant help you.

there are no shortage of women at these parties, generally foreign, and very few hookers beyond the depressing girly bars on the horny mile and around haadrin for full moon.

your 950 dollars isnt going to get you far at all. so i wont even bother to tell you where to go and what to do in bangkok, and other than Khaosan, none of it happens anywhere near the golden mount

haadrin bars are usually crap.
