PM accuses his opponents of attempting to sabotage the country

post-247607-0-34588500-1457128258_thumb.

BANGKOK: Without naming names, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-ocha accused a group of people in attempting to destroy their motherland, reject Thai legal process and encouraging foreign organizations and governments to put pressure on Thailand.

In his weekly nation-wide address, the prime minister urged the Thai public not to be misled by these elements whom he accused of trying every possible means to cover up their own wrongdoings.

He brushed aside all the criticisms against the charter draft that it was crafted by the Constitution Drafting Committee led by Meechai Ruchupan with an intention to prolong the military junta’s stay in power.

The prime minister maintained that the National Council for Peace and Order wanted to make sure that the next government would commit itself in performing what the people have wanted – that the next government is transparent, not corrupt and practice good governance.

Defending the charter draft, he said he didn’t think the draft is much different from the previous charters except for one aspect – that is the draft attaches importance to prevention of corruption and preventing the domination of the Senate and the House by the same group of people.

The prime minister went on saying that he has wanted the charter draft to pass the referendum.

"encouraging foreign organizations and governments to put pressure on Thailand."

Foreign Governments & organizations can see through you like a pane of glass.

That is why they seem to be interfering & putting pressure on your Government.

If you cant take the heat get out of the Kitchen.

Why is he saying foreign governments etc are encouraged to put pressure on LoS ?

The only time I really hear of foreign governments in relation to Thailand is when a Thai official is quoting all the wonderful things they're supposed to have said about the junta, the road map and so on.

Asking for no corruption , transparency and good practice and good governance , is going to be so hard to stay the course, the P M knows this will not happen and is now on record as asking for the change,

Unfortunately what the government needs is a detector at the entrance of parliament where the politicians have to gain entry every day and some sort of honesty screen , eye movement from a series of questions asked like (are you corrupt today?,) ( have you accepted any inducements?) and once a shift in (eye dilated ) is detected, they are put in a harness and put into a rubber catapult and fired out to sea,

This also means the Y and T clan can not be hiding near by to shine a bright light into the eyes of the opposition,

I think he means things like people smuggling, slaves on fishing boats etc. He is upset foreign governments have spoken out against this practise.

He seriously doesn't see a problem with it.

Impossible to do without a reformed police and judiciary. Which the PM has decided is best left for the next government.

Just when you think it's impossible for the guy to dig himself deeper into the not-very-bright hole, he surprises you again.

You are 100% right as far as most on TV and the lucky educated Thais capable of thinking issues like this through are concerned. Sadly, the majority of the PM's television audience probably believe this alarmist and xenophobic propaganda, and it would not surprise me if he is being fed some of these lines rather than speaking for himself.

"...reject Thai legal process...."

Remind me again who it was that overthrew an elected government in a military coup, tore up the constitution and granted himself an amnesty as well as godlike powers?

Dear self-appointed, poor, misunderstood, "PM"

"sabotage",

like 6 months of staged protests leading to you declare that you were taking power.... ?

Give us all a break Khun GohHok, you lie through your teeth every day and the people are not fooled. Look around you. You maintain control with your oppression and threats. Nothing more.

the last time I heard similar sentences they came from Syria, Russia or N.Korea. Probably we did not understand what he means. He is to be our hero. The best PM ever for eternity. Heil Prayuth.

come on Baerboxer tell us what a wonderful speech it was as djjamie seems to have gone quiet or are you the same person?

Nope - your're wrong again. But as usual, that's not really surprising.

We all know that any politician here would do absolutely anything, has many have proven, to get their greedy grimy hands on the trough.

The one in power sees it as sabotage whereas the one trying to regain power sees it as clever tricks. Once the positions are reversed then so are the views.

Do you remember various puppets in the last regime always claiming someone, some group, some NGO or some mysterious "third hand" was out to get them and sabotaging their good intentions? Your memory is somewhat selective so maybe not.

You keep on believing in Shin fairy land if it makes you happy.

...one has to be blind to not see that the cancer is lurking....waiting to come back and occupy the host.....

...as was mentioned in his T.V. address last night....'People have to stop selling their votes'.....

...so much proof that this actually did happen....and that the climate has not changed yet.....

...there is a megalomaniac with a mountain of money...who will not take no for an answer....

...again...only a fool would pretend it is not so....

...the military was brought in in a drastic noble attempt to put an end to this....

...sadly....it seems it will take years yet....
