Featured Replies

Anyone done this bus journey .

I usually get the bus down through Thailand , but I was thinking of going through Laos .

How long is the bus ride and how uncomfortable is the journey ?

If you do it in 2 stages - with stop in LuangPrabang and/or VangVien - so it will be 12hours(sleeping bus possible) plus 8 hours. If you want to do it

in one go - you can,but it is sadomasochism. You can take boat,Airasia - to VT or LP,train to Nongkhai, there are direct international buses Chianmai/Chiangrai,loei to LP; between VT and destinations in Issan even BKK...If you have iron arse -may be you can sit in bus 24 hours?
