I'll chip in to buy the fat guy a shirt....[emoji33]

A surprising number of Thais, both men and women, consider an ample belly as sexy.

You can take off your western spectacles now...

Afterthought: OMG, I just now realized the raunchy nature of these near-porn images! It's the dude's belly. Shudder.

Its a very nice thing that this couple have gone to a lot of trouble to get a professional photographer to take some great traditional thai culture images to share with all of us. Thankyou both very much.

Please take no notice of the foolish comments from one or two barstool perched no hopers that clearly have no life despite living as near to heaven as they will ever get.

all good reasons to keep those wedding pics private for friends and family.
same with the wedding, it's not a rock concert or circus, but a private personal occassion. nothing to prove, manufacture or show-off, just a solidification of what's already there.

I am so jealous indeed. A lovely lady and a lucky guy.

Beautiful fotos, whatever the story behind them...

maybe it should be lucky lady and not so lovely guy. yes I agree the photos are beautiful, but what is the story behind them ?? everyone is second guessing and that is why this is getting so many comments, both negative and positive.. I would love to see them in 5 years time,, then we will all know ?

The negativity here is truly astounding! Ever heard of the benefit of the doubt?

Additionally, you may want to consider that the Thai legal system takes public defamation of character extremely seriously and regularly dishes out enormous fines, not to mention custodial sentences. If that was my lady you called a buffalo, amongst other things, Id drag your old cynical, hateful asses into court in an instance!

Like everywhere else on this planet, Thailand has its good points as well as its bad, and it would serve you well to remember that!

You obviously havent lived in Thailand very long...typically when one calls someone a buffalo, it a male they are referring to, to unless the "young lady" is in fact a ladyboy, then you may have a point but...no body has called her a buffalo

As to your threats of court...no you wouldnt, and of course if you did the person concerned will counter sue for you referring to them as an "old cynical, hateful <deleted>", as you have just publically defiled someone as well...woops...so maybe less of the silly bravado

Originally came here in the Royal Navy back in 81, full time since 97.

Already amended my error, it was the gentleman who was referred to as the buffalo. As a matter of point, Kwai is the worst insult a Thai can say to another Thai, and has no sexual prejudice, male or female, no matter. When you’ve been here a while, you’ll be more aware of these things.

As to my threats of litigation, yes, I most certainly would! Could always use a nice free chunk of change.

As for counter suing, my point was a generalisation, and not an individual affront. Therefore without grounds to counter sue.

Nice talking with you…

The comment "The Buffalo" was intended to mean I believed the couple to be real and the only possible hired in model must be the buffalo (Plural) as in the two 4 legged creatures that have been included in the images as part of showing Thai culture. I think you mistakenly thought I was being rude.

Would have been interesting for you to drag me to the court though. Thanks for that visualisation. Made my day. I am 142 Kilos, Do you think you could manage that alone?

can't believe people can even find something negative to say...its a damn wedding picture... beautiful pictue

Its hard to believe isn't it that the couple have gone to the trouble of wearing traditional Thai clothing specially for the photo shoot as they are obviously very happy together and like the natural simplicity of Thai life together but people are making rude comments about buying the man a shirt and stuff like that. WHY? Have they nothing but jealousy and pure frustration that they don't have this fantastically happy life?

Well - after 9 pages maybe it's time to add some fuel to the story.

Christian happens to be not any ordinary Christian. He's living full time here

in Thailand and has done so for several years. So does his father, just resently

entered the munk hood. The father by the way is the founder of Pandora, the

well known jewelry company.

Honestly i don't think Christian needs worry anout any financiel needs his adorably

It was not the gentleman who was referred to as "The buffalo" it was actually the buffalo as that is their name. I don't know how else I could have referred to them? They are and as far as I know always going to be called buffalo, buffaloes or buffalos. Personally I prefer to use buffalo as I believe this to be a more correct plural given the line in the song "Where the buffalo roam"

I hope this clears up the misunderstanding.

Given your self proclaimed knowlege of the Thai legal system, could you please direct me to a previous defamation case where someone was charged, convicted and then jailed for calling someone a buffalo ?

Or as in this case calling buffalo buffalo. Please.... I want to be dragged to court so I can have some extra pocket change.

Do you have any backstory on his fiance/wife?

From her Facebook page, it appears she/they are living in Bangkok and she's working in some capacity at the Pandora company. She also appears to have gone visiting to his home country already, as there's a photo of her bundled up in heavy snow-type attire.

Contrary to the wedding photos style, it doesn't seem that she spends her days out in the fields harvesting rice or tending to the animals. Rather, she cleans up very nicely in the traditional style of a younger Thai woman.

Sounds like it will be good for them both for a long and happy life together.. great for them both and I wish them well.

As usually it is when the farangs money runs out, he is then told he is and being 'stingy' and then the girl runs out..

I have had a little experiance with this, as I had a nice ? girlfriend for nearly a year, took her for holidays, bought clothes etc, and visited her parents rice farm with her about 80 k's past Udon Thani, and when I refused to give her 100,000 B for a new house on the farm, ( we had never even talked about marriage ) , I was told I was stingy and I want you out of my life and never to contact her again..... I didn't !!! That's bar girl love for you ,,, hahaha

why is the assumption always that the western guy met the asian girl in a bar ?

They take one look at the shape of her eyes and tone of skin and assume she's a prostitute.

Isn't that the same type of racism that we have all grown up learning is shameful ? i.e.. judging by that persons skin colour they must be a (insert stereotype)

yes it funny how all the men are topless in the country side, when a farang does the same he is being shamed? hahaha but most of the Thai commenters are supportive of the picture, so the negative comments are very small

One album is captioned 'Business Communication Administrator' and she started that role in June 2010.

I found this out pretty soon after my first post on the thread yesterday, so it's been painful to watch the obscene numbers of vile, slanderous allegations made about her, and how she met her husband - thinking to myself while reading each successive one, "oh how wrong you are you bitter, twisted fool" haha

I’m not quite sure why you’re getting a flea up your 142kg arse with me, as it wasn’t your post I was referring to in the first place, see page 1 of this thread:

Bobotie, on 23 Mar 2016 - 10:54, said:

I see two buffalos in that picture...one appears to be the lessor spotted european buffalo...zoom out on the picture and one will observe the MacMansion and "truck"

I do hope this clarifies things for you and the best of luck with the reading and understanding lessons…

I see your eating your words now regarding your earlier Koko comment. I hope the young couple in question are recording every nasty thing that's been said on this thread. You may just be install for a big nasty surprise yourself.

It truly amazes me just how many people engage mouth before brain regarding defamation in Thailand. It just so happens there's a thread today about someone cutting their own throat in public due to an ongoing defamation case. See: http://www.thaivisa.com/forum/topic/905291-pattaya-locals-watch-in-horror-as-englishman-attempts-gruesome-suicide/

At least he's big enough to man up and profess regret.

All those laughing about defamation might be laughing out of the other side of their faces now after the revelation that Christian is the son of Pandora founders Per and Winnie Enevoldsen. The Enevoldsen family sold 60% of Pandora to the Danish private equity company Axcel in 2008 for DKr1.1 billion (US$233 million), and made another US$580 million from Pandora's IPO a few years later. Christian continues to play a role in the running of the company, which made US$550 million profit in 2014.

Yes indeedy, there'll be some worried little key board warriors supping on their Changs around the stone tables tonight!

Might make them think twice next time, sitting all snug and safe in the security of their little looms, spawning their bitterness and negativity!
