Cloudseeding operation launches in the North to ease smog and drought

CHIANG MAI, 28 March 2016 (NNT) - Minister Attached to the Office of the Prime Minister M.L. Panadda Diskul visited Chiang Mai province over the weekend to observe the royal artificial rainmaking operation.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives launched the artificial rainmaking operation to mitigate smog and drought problems in the North of Thailand. M.L Panadda has urged all relevant agencies to do what they can to prevent recurring air pollution.

In Buriram province, water was being pumped from Nong Thalok Reservoir into a large pond located in Nangrong district to be used in the production of tap water for 190 homes.

Nangrong residents said it was the second time this month the pond was depleted, adding this is the worst drought crisis they have experienced in 40 years.

This will fit in with the Air Force dropping a gazillion gallons of water to clear the smog and then perhaps the ptb can claim they have created rain, albeit with dirty "haze" particles in it? 1508623.GIF

We are 60 kliks from Udon, which is apparently undergoing serious drought problems.

We have nothing of the sort here.We still have tap water 24/7.We don't have any runs on people panic buying bottled water,we are still using our hoses and washing our cars.We have had no warnings about preserving water,,whatsoever. In fact it is business as usual here in Nam Phong. The farmers are still irrigating their fields and leaving the sprinklers on all day.I'm sorry but who is telling whom bullshit?
