The Tom Jones concert scheduled for Tuesday 5 April at Central World has been cancelled, they cite the serious illness of an immediate family member as the reason.

He also cancelled his concert in Manila on Saturday.

I wonder if low ticket sales is the real reason. I was very surprised to see him coming here to a large venue.; I think most Thais do not even know of him.

Someone told him that Thai pooying don't take off their knickers in public...

Actually, the reason for the cancellation is that the female fans all now wear nappies and he didn't want to be hit in the face with a flying soggy diaper at this point in his career.

Who the hell would want to see some OAP trying to recapture his youth in public.

Why can't they grow old gracefully.

I find your post rather tongue in cheek given the way many members of Thai visa forum choose to live out their later years as OAPs here in Thailand.

Same as us Oldies put up with Kids pretending they will ever make it rich here.coffee1.gif

You are all wrong. Tom Jones gave a fantastic sell out concert recently during the Jazz a Juan Festival in the south of France. Sold out in one day, made front page news, he rocked the park for 3 hours with a super back up group, best show we have seen in years! A real show man, who looks fantastic by the way.

Everyone under 60 years old is asking "Who's Tom Jones?" cheesy.gif

And most people in the ~60 age range are asking "why should I care?"

After all, isn't Tom Jones the square you laughed at while listening to The Beatles, The Stones and Led Zeppelin? ?
