Nah, he was a presenter on The Voice, that's a pretty high profile show. Hell, he even had a number one hit six or seven years ago, albeit for Comic Relief.

he is.

It's sad when one doesn't even know who Tom Jones is.

Never a fan or a detractor but talked to him awhile at the bar on a flight to NY one time. He was drinking softies cos he had a gig on arrival. Very unaffected and good humoured guy!

I wonder if low ticket sales is the real reason. I was very surprised to see him coming here to a large venue.; I think most Thais do not even know of him.

He's been here before, as I recall previous shows were a sell out.

Some time ago (maybe ten years or so) I used to go to a music bar in Patpong (Radio City? Can't remember) quite often, where they had a Tom Jones impersonator and an Elvis impersonator, both Thai and both really quite good. And a good band. The place was always heaving with young(ish) Thais, so I think Tom Jones is actually very well known and liked in Thailand.

Edit to say that I just caught the last couple of posts about his wife's death. Very sorry to hear it. As I understand it, they were married for a long time.
