Rainmaking centers on standby and ready to go

CHIANG MAI, 28 April 2016 (NNT) - The Royal Rainmaking Center in the North has affirmed its commitment to monitoring weather conditions for the most suitable periods to conduct rainmaking operations to provide relief to the drought and haze situation, now affecting the northern region.

Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives Gen Chatchai Sarikalya revealed that rainmaking centers in all the five regions of the country are closely monitoring weather conditions for the best time to conduct relief operations.

From March 1 to April 21, the rainmaking centers in Chiang Mai and Phitsanulok have conducted a total of 68 flights throughout the course of 19 days, with 17 days yielding rain in the northern and central regions.

Meanwhile, the Director-General of the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation Lersak Rewtarkulpaiboon said as part of the Department’s efforts to prevent hailstorms in the northern region, the Department will coordinate with the Royal Thai Air Force in firing 500 silver iodide flares into the atmosphere between March 21 and May 20.

Just waiting for the rain to come......

Then they will take the credit........ thumbsup.gif

Every rain drop forms around a dust or pollen particle. There is no such thing as "rainmaking" particles can be introduced to clouds by aircraft, this sometimes induces a bit of rain to fall. There is no shortage of dust particles present in the environment. Thai "rainmaking" is closer to a religious belief for reasons I will not go into.

Dubious science form very dubious people.

And rain comes from Smoke haze?

Yeah right

IDIOTS!

Lots of drought sufferings and the rain boys are standing by to get the order. MORONS.

Almost the start of the rainy season so a good time to start the rainmaking process.

Dancing in the streets is also an option.

Making rain with poisonous chemicals is better than no rain, right?

Remember a couple of weeks ago when you were all throwing buckets of water at each other, despite a drought warning?

Reap, sow.
