Last year, we had looked around a few high rise, beachfront, condominium. However, we noticed that most of the condominiums were empty during the week. And we are concerning about our own safety to occupy the whole floor by just the two of us. Someone suggested us that the Palm Pavilions condo is not bad because the management has been actively renting out the vacant units. We’d like to buy one, but would like to take time to look around a few different ones. Any member knows of other water front condo which has more active owners and renters live in quite regularly? Thanks.

Sorry we can't help you with the busy condos.

However, based on your criteria we can advise you not to bother with Baan Lonsai or Baan Thiu Khluen, the two very tall condo buildings at the Khao Takiab end of the beach.

We live near these places, and most of the time they seem to be deserted. Even on long (Thai holiday) weekends they are never more than 25% occupied, judging by the car parks and the number of lights switched on in the evening.

Hello, Justwilliam , it's very nice of you. I'd like to thank you for your tips. It's great idea to check around the car parks and the number of night lights. I'll certainly do that.

we live pretty much full time in a condo that is fairly empty during the week , maybe 5 or 6 units lived in full time out of 130 units.

it fills up friday to sunday and over holidays and long weekends it is full to bursting as thai owners come down from bangkok.

the security is good all the time and we have never had any worries about living in a relatively empty condo , in fact it has its advantages as we know all the staff , the gardeners , the maintenance crew , the security guards and the juristic office personell. we have the pools and the gyms to ourselves most of the time. its like having your own private mansion with staff on call.

foriegners rent units for a week or so and come and go throughout the year.

if the condo looks well managed then i wouldnt worry too much about low occupancy.

if you find a condo that you like , then rent a room there for a few weeks to get a feel for the place before committing yourself to a purchase.

Thanks a lot, Taxexile, I am very appreciated your times and expetite information. It's very helpful for keeping my wife not to be too worry about the security issue. You have such a positive perspective to make us less worrying about the low occupancy rate condo. However, we still needed to find a well managed condo as a major factor! Taxexile, do you have any specific tip to name for a few well managed buildings? We like the condo, which located close to the airport, and in the Cha Um District's side. It's less traffic on the main street and is closer to Pechaburi. And it seemed to offer for more living space at a lower price per SQ. meter as well.
