Cobbler (shoe Repair) Recommendations

Featured Replies

Can anyone recommend a cobbler in Bangkok? I'm looking to have new leather soles put on some shoes. I am specifically looking for a shop that has the proper equipment rather than one of the street-based repair people who glue on rubber soles.

There have been some recommendations here about custom shoes so I may try one of those shops to see if they also do repair.

Use a fully-equipped shoe repair centre. I regularly use the one in the basement of Central on Silom Road (the one linked to the Saladaeng BTS station), and I have always been satisfied with their work. You will find others in big department stores or shopping malls.

:D We use one called mr shoe or something like that. 3rd floor central bangna. The only thing I resent is that it costs as much to have the shoes soled and heeled as it does to buy a new pair :o

Sorry to dredge up an old topic. I have a pair of Florsheim shoes that sorely need new soles. Does anyone have suggestions other than the ones above? Would Central at Chit Lom have a place or do I need to go to Saladaeng? I am coming from Asok so I guess it doesn't matter so much. How many days does it typically take?

i use a 420 year old man on the corner of my soi.

So is the 420 year old man good? Any info on how to find him being that I don't know which soi is your soi?

Thank you folks. I visited the shop in the basement of Central on Silom Road last week and within an hour they fixed me up for THB 580. I've worn the shoes a few days since and am a happy camper!

the place in Central Silom must have a new guy working there. He's lazy and unreliable, find somewhere else.

Emporium shopping mall Sukhumvit soi 24 down in basement 1 or 2? also, better price sometimes Robinson shopping mall in basement but not sure if it's still there after the renovation but close for you
