My wife (native English speaker) is looking for a driving instructor in Sathorn area of Bangkok. She started with a local guy who didn't speak English, and it didn't work out, so she wants to try someone new. The person should have reasonable English and be able to help her through the Thai test quickly.

Thanks.

The Thai driving test is carried out off road...little more than driving forewards and backwards through some cones and parking.

She may find the theory test somewhat difficult.

Take her to an empty car park to practice.

Once she has passed the test the fun starts.

Surly any of your friends with a licence could help ..good luck

just to add ,

that the "students" supply their own cars too for the test. no instructor is involved with the test itself, as said simple drive forward, reverse back like parking on the curbside between cones and poles.

had the luck to watch it while waited for my local license to be ready...7/10 failed this simple test, but 9/10 got diving license issued, so, guess your math where the difference adds up. (hint: under the table).

actually the lack of serious practical tests explains what I see day to day on the roads here.
