British Style Electrical Back boxes ?

Featured Replies

has anyone come across the type 86 back boxes in Pattaya or anywhere in Thailand ???

These are used universally in the UK for flush fitting electrical outlets and switches. for 1 gang switch gear which measures 86mm = These flush metal boxes are 70 x 70mm x (25 & 35mm deep). complete with earth tags. fixing screws are 60mm between centers...

The ranges of Switches and hardware is far better in this size, especially the home automation sector.. Its weird, i'm able to find many switches and outlets here in this size, but no back boxes to match.post-191078-0-76952900-1462293964_thumb.

The standard thai style with no earth tag is (for switchgear 120mm wide ) is everywhere ....but not what i'm looking for

thanks

Not a standard size in Thailand so you're unlikely to find them in any of the mainstream outlets.

Singapore and Malaysia use UK style outlets so it may be worth looking at some of the mail order places there and getting some shipped.
