why not apply straight for citizenship if you really want to stay in Thailand, it is easy for a Woman married to a Thai man.

suggest you read about it, as I said a Woman married to a Thai Man has easier access to Thai Citizenship than a man married to a Thai woman, as we always need to prove we have enough money for all the extensions.

The process for women with Thai husbands applying under Section 9 is similar to the above but they are not tested or assessed for points, nor do they have to be in employment. Instead their husbands need to demonstrate that they have income of at least 15,000 baht a month.

The B man is no longer there and his replacement is not so nice. He denied me my extension of stay based on marriage (also to a Thai man) a couple of months ago. Told me to leave the country and get a new visa. He didn't even look at our paperwork. Just looked at my passport and my work permit and that was it. Told me I had to go to Malaysia.

Experienced exactly the same thing as Guavagirl. They stated they would no longer extend a "B" visa based on marriage, so I ended up having to go to Malaysia on short notice and change my visa. Honestly, they visa run was pretty painless and I'll probably go for a new visa again next year rather than attempting to extend my stay.
