One could walk right past the entrance to JUSMAG Thai without noticing the vintage military architectural tells that signify its purpose. Photo: Google

BANGKOK — I walked up to an unassuming door on a Sathon Road corner, marked only by a gold plaque inscribed with “JUSMAGTHAI,” pushed the buzzer and waited. I was expecting a stern voice over the intercom ordering me to state my rank and file, but instead the door buzzed open.

That led to a fenced-in area, a metal detector and another door. Surely this couldn’t be a bar serving craft beer, right? It felt more like a high-security prison.

can anyone just turn up and go in?

You need some form of ID, but basically, yes.

"True to form, there’s no website, Facebook page, or Snapchat for JUSMAG Thai's Aderholt Annex. Just go to the MRT Lumpini, walk out Exit No. 2 onto Sathon Road and walk about 70 meters south to the entrance located just past the corner of Soi Sathon 1. "

The gym on the installation is pretty good, and they have the Armed Forces Network TV showing, so it is easy to catch US sports and news while exercising.

try putting a d where the c is.

Do you mean draft craft beers--quality microbrewery beers on tap and at a reasonable price?

I'd find a room near JUSMAG and schedule a weekend drunk around the place if they had that. I really miss good beer.

What about my DD214 showing previous active duty in the Vietnam arena?

The page say a U.S. government ID, my passport should qualify then. smile.png

My American Legion card should get me in. Wonder if Khoasan road still makes fake ID's.
