I have the 10.11.4 version on the lap installed and three dimension films appear with a split screen. I read there is some way to use a mouse and hover over a part of the screen to change it to 2D but I haven't found how to do it yet.

The Missus went to several places today at Tuccom and came up empty in trying to buy 3D glasses.

Any thoughts?

Have you got a 3D enabled telly otherwise realistically you are pissing to the wind.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post Chicog.

I think I failed to express myself well. My question was HOW have some members managed to overcome the split screen 3D feature which has recently become featured on youtube.

I honestly was not looking for a negative answer saying I am "pissing to the wind" without a 3D enabled television. I wanted a HOW do YOU do it kind of answer..

The split screen for your information is not universal. I offer two screen shots.

This is how it looks on El Capitan:

Here is the same film Usual Suspects on a Snow Leopard older lap.

Clearly this is a matter of adjustment on the El Capitan OS. I thought possibly one of the TV members had experienced it. Sorry you felt compelled to waste your time to reply to a question that was possibly below your "status"

I've posted as well on an Apple forum and as a last resort, I'll manage some day to stay up or get up early enough to call Apple USA on AppleCare.

But thanks again anyway..

P.S.

I don't have a 3D tele but I do pay 2200 THB a month to True for connectivity for my TV. I just don't really watch it at all. It's there as a back up if I want to watch it. Scores and scores and scores of channels. But I'll post later to ask if anyone knows how to identify which channel is which.

Thanks again to you and your followers.

I called apple today and after discussing the El Capitan feature of creating a split screen the rep advised that this isn't anything connected with the OS but rather is a YouTube issue.

I looked on the YT help forum and found this:

I haven't heard anything yet about a 3D Television.. I wonder if that was just an off the cuff remark.

I'll say this for sure, The YT Team sure doesn't set any time records. Over two years and no results.

"Video is split screen on iOS only when embedded"

I have embedded many videos before and have never seen this issue. I am not sure how to fix it or what is wrong.
At the link below there is an youtube video embedded on an html page. It plays fine on a computer. If I use an iPad/iphone the video is split screen (see attached jpg).
If I go to the youtube page, the video is fine. It only is an issue when it is embedded.
I was not able to find a fix. Am I doing something wrong?

To understand where are different channels of True tv you have to go to any big branch of True and ask the list of channels.

It should be easy after it to identify what channel is where...
