PHRAE: -- Some 100 piglets didn't make it to market Tuesday as the truck they were in crashed on the Phrae bypass after narrowly missing a car.

But 300 lived to see another day with many dashing off bewildered in the direction of a local restaurant reported Thairath.

The accident happened in driving rain as the truck, taking 400 25 kilo pigs from Nakorn Pathom to Chiang Rai, missed a car that came out at the intersection. The driver, Wichian Singsaphaphol lost control and ended up overturned at the side of the bypass.

Many pigs died, others couldn't walk while the lucky ones dashed off to the nearby Kaew Wanna restaurant.

If I passed by, I would have some "rescued" from that place with the car, alive ones and dead ones also. wink.png

The police have previously issued warnings that rain is treacherous for drivers because roads get wet. I am guessing therefore that drivers driving in driving rain are putting themselves at far more risk.

Four hundred piglets crammed in one truck - enough to put me off Thai pork for life. Thinks: Is this why imported meat is so cheap in UK supermarkets?

They should a question about what difference rain makes on a road and how to reduce the chance of skidding on a wet road ,think of the money they would make on the back door licences

...they survived only to be killed the next day somewhere else.

don't get me wrong, i love moo hun. anyone of you ever been to kaeng ka bao, near mukdahan?

...accident at a junction..a bit like the Australian food catch phrase...'get some pork on your fork'...sorry to hear about the death of so many piggies in that way...better than being electrocuted methinks.
