Hi

I just passed in and out of Suvarnabhumi airport, Bangkok. At check-in they asked about batteries and I just said no, but I had 9 small AAA in check-in luggage. At security check the Korean in front of me lost his super powerful powerbank (for cellphones and similar items).

They also went through my carry-on bag and fortunately my powerbank is more average at 10.400 mAh.

I asked and they told me one powerbank <= 32.000 mAh (32 Ah) or five <= 20 Ah were allowed for carry on. It may be more liberal for cells IN a device?

But don't quote me on this, I guess there could also be changes without notice.

I just raise the question. If there are threads already, I know the mods will take appropriate actions. I am under less good Internet now, difficult to search.

Alcohol carry on maximum 100ml in a marked container.

Not if you bought it at BKK airport duty free after passing departures security. As long as it remains in the sealed bag, you can carry as much as you like. I have personally carried as much as 2 litres onboard.

Somewhere I heard that you cannot do that on flights to Australia or on American carriers (that would be DL here), but I have not tried it with those.

Also, don't do it if you are transiting somewhere else to a connecting flight, or you will probably lose it at that airport's security.
