lemel Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 The ex-Crystal Palace boss was axed tonight - with the Addicks bottom after just two wins in 12 games. Dowie led Charlton to the Carling Cup last eight, but Saturday's 3-2 Premiership loss at Wigan proved fatal. The Addicks announced Dowie's exit on their website this evening, adding: "The club will issue a further statement on Tuesday morning." Glen Roder?
ThaiPauly Posted November 14, 2006 Posted November 14, 2006 Reckon you are right..He has received that all important "Vote Of Confidence" from his under fire Chairman Freddie Sheppard. Pearce could also be fearful of his job as could Alan Pardew, after beating Tha arsenal they came back down to earth beaten at the weekend. I think the promoted manager's jobs are safe, especially Coppell, and nothing that much was expected of Sheffield United or already doomed Watford, I would go as far as saying that Boothroyd will probably get a Prem managers job even if they are as looks likely relegated. So who will get the job at Charlton?
lemel Posted November 14, 2006 Author Posted November 14, 2006 Southgate's 12 week exemption for not having the requisite badges runs out shortly. Unless Boro come to an agreement with the Premier League then he will most likely be the next to leave. Stuart Pearce is another option, the same man who was a contender for the England job a few months ago!

Good point lemel. Pearce is having a bad time. I hope he gets through it as he does try his best and has all the passion. Shame some of his players do not show the same commitment. Maybe Benitez is due as the scouses are starting to voice there opinion about his team seletion game by game.........

Pool are struggling to live up to their "Top 4" ranking..They will NEVER win the tittle under Raffa, even SG is bemused about the situation there. however it will be difficult for the board to sack the guy that delivered them the European Cup....but who else.....Sven???? If I were a Pool fan I would say arhhhhhhhhhh. There are only 3 or 4 really good managers in the EPL and Raffa is not one of them IMHO
