BANGKOK: -- A foul mouth and aggressive Bangkok public bus driver caught on video leaving his passengers to have a go at a motorist who beeped him has been punished - with a week's holiday.

The video was taken by the driver of a car who was witness to the poor driving skills of the 113 driver and then was on the receiving end of some fruity Thai language in the middle of traffic, reported Krobkruakao.

Commenting on his Facebook page "Yuthana Penboon" said: "Is that the kind of person who should be responsible for the lives of his passengers?"

The Bangkok Mass Transit Authority called in the driver, the company that runs the 113 route and the conductor on the service. The company was fined 5,000 baht and the driver was given seven days off while it is decided if further action will be taken.

The owner of the clip had said that this was not the first time he had seen poor driving and poor behavior of those running the 113 route but that this incident was "the limit".

He talks like an old brothel madam, I wonder where he learned that from? they say the apple don't fall far from the tree.

"The owner of the clip had said that this was not the first time he had seen poor driving and poor behavior of those running the 113 route" What just the 133 route? I have been on quite a few of those routes and the poor driving and behavior is across the board. 20Baht roller coaster ride, swearing and cursing included.

Dash cams are a good thing more and more people are getting punished because of them. Maybe some will think a bit more before they act next time.

If you're using public transport here never ever give up your seat to an old lady...

That's how I lost my job as a bus driver......................................coffee1.gif

Yes but that's just me. whistling.gif

Anyway he's probably not sitting at home worrying about his future, he'll be behind the wheel somewhere not giving a damn.

Why is there no vid of what happened before the foul language? Could it be that the driving skills of the person taking the video were not 100%?

Most of those non air-con junk-heap buses in BKK would be older than the drivers themselves and held together with splonk. The poor quality of the buses reflects the poor quality of the drivers. They match each other in terms of appearance and performance. Aircon buses seem to have a better calibre driver with greater respect for passengers.

You can bet he lost his pay for the time stood down. And that would hurt the Lao Khao budget.

A weeks holiday is punishment?

So he takes a person loan, goes to the beach and hooks up and lays around drinking beer while screaming at tourists.

He will be asking for more punishment.

Would it justify the bus driver leaving his vehicle in the middle of traffic to issue his tirade?

Just the 113 route?

The whole industry needs a reform.

Poor driviving skills falls back on the company and the driving instructors.

Driving instructors? Really? Do they exist or is this just a figment of your imagination? gigglem.gif

Driving instructors ? :)

Yes, their big brother or sister, on a motosai, aged 11.
