Sakeopete
Has anyone found an optician that sell prescription safety glasses in Thailand? I asked the local shops here in Hua Hin and they don't know of any places.

CGW
The shop is across Ratchadaphisek Road fronting the road, opposite SCB, not inside the building. Cheers
AussieRules
You might be able to find a place that does it online, just send them your prescription, I had mine made in the UK. You could always get those big horrible ones that fit over your normal specs. Don't know how true it is but I heard that Oakley sports glasses are "up to spec" (pardon the pun) when it comes to being worn as safety's. good luck

Always wear my own Oakley on deck as I hate most safety glasses. To my knowledge Oakley are above and beyond on all ballistic etc. tests as you say. On one job had a hell of a Barney with a safety bloke who said I couldn't wear mine on deck as they weren't sufficiently rated. Go figure.
kbelyeu
I purchased mine online and had them delivered from the UK.. not cheap but solid safety glasses. I've since had LASIK so now I wear the normal ones. Kurt
