Mae Sai Vip Visa Run

Featured Replies

Hi,

Not sure who it was, but someone mentioned to me recently about one of those VIP buses with extra leg room doing a Visa Run to Mae Sai. Any truth in this?

I need to go on Monday, so am looking for a nice comfortable ride.

Thanks

Phil

I LOVE those 34 seat (I think) Vip busses. The regular ones aren't so great.

I sleep all of the way to Mai Sai and all the way back. Never been able to do that before. :o

Pop down to the Arcade Bus Station to pre book your chosen seat – very comfortable but stops a bit short of the border (you will have to take a Songtaew for last kilometer or two).

leaves Chiang Mai at 8am - return trip you must book as soon as you get to Mai Sai, before you do the border run!

24 seat VIP bus leaves arcade bus station at 8 O'Clock morning.

Trip take 4 hrs.

Hmmm, sounds a bit scary with the book as soon as you get to MS. Maybe I will just take a Valium and get in one of those minivans of hel_l!

Thanks for the posts guys and gals.

Sorry, 24 seat busses is correct.

You have to take a Songtoew truck from the Mai Sai bus station to the border, but they are only 5 baht and waiting for you both ways. So easy a baby could do it. :o
