Eurosport - 2 July 2016

I just turned my cable on to watch the Tour de France and one channel is off. Guess which one? I'll tell ya it's not the 10 or so with katoeys flogging tat.

I phoned the cable company and they claimed it is a nationwide problem. I don't believe them.

Has anyone else got Eurosport on now? It should be the Tour de France stage 1.

This probably doesn't help but I was watching Eurosport most of yesterday using ilikehd. Usual buffering and stuttering but it worked. Their feed is British Eurosport and as a last resort would be an option.

I resorted to an internet stream which was ok for sound but had buffering problems as they always do. I used procyclinglive.

Eurosport is still off on my cable. So that is at least 17 hours.

I am sure they are lying. Let's hope it comes back today.

Still no Eurosport. Just a message on the TV screen stating this service is not available. It is the only channel down which is frustrating.

It's still off, 3 days now. I will phone (always very politely) again and float the idea of a refund. That seems to stir things into action here.

What is CTH? I assume your location is Pattaya? I am with PTV in Sri Racha.

I am managing to find Eurosport on Kodi, so it is still broadcasting.

I believe Kodi is something akin to a high-quality stream so it relies upon an internet connection and the broadcaster broadcasting. Is that correct? I too am watching on streams but which are usually choppy, low-quality and unsatisfactory.

My cable operator is blaming the download signal from the satellite or the satellite receiving station. This may be one of the 2 Thaicom stations, one in Nontaburi and one in Pathum Thani. This signal is then sent to the various cable companies around Thailand. She is saying the signal is not being sent to the cable company. Thus she is blaming the satellite station.

So, what I would like to know is if anyone is watching the Eurosport channel on TV via cable. (It may be known as the Astro package) Then I will know if it is just my cable operator or the satellite station which distributes the signal nationwide to the cable companies.

CTH is the broadcaster who had the English Premier League rights for the last 3 years, but it looks as if they may be packing in, in August.

I am in Pattaya and also have Sophon cable and they are also showing the Tour on Eurosport, watching it now. So your cable company are lying.

First 4 days, no Eurosport, just choppy streams.

I shall phone again tomorrow. Ultimately, if they haven't paid their bills or don't know how to fix the problem or the technician can't be bothered, there is nothing I can do except mither them.

Hopefully somebody will do something.
