3BB Chiang Mai Wifi

Featured Replies

We have 3BB at home and the strength is generally ok. We have the standard package. Just wondering whether to signup to the wifi option that is 100baht per month. Can you use it anywhere in CM or is it limited? What's the connectivity like? If it's not that good or not available in many areas I will probably just stick to data on my 12call phone.

Many thanks

I've used 3BB in my codo, and no problems. I watch TV through the wi-fi and all the other uses.

Very few blackouts. I'm on the slowest speed and generally never a break,

I made the mistake of buying the AIS wifi option. It seems to be available virtually nowhere in Chiang Mai. And not much better in Bangkok. But when I look for it on my phone, I'm always seeing 3BB hotspots. So I think its penetration is pretty good in Chiang Mai.

If you have been subscribing to 3BB at home for more than 1 year, you can use their 100 baht per month service for free. I think you need to go into a 3BB shop and ask them to connect you up. I'm not sure if you can do it online. I don't use it much, myself, but I know they cover most of the shopping malls in Chiang Mai.
