What are some of the best night clubs in Patong? and by best I mean civilized, slightly more expensive and not full of hookers. Or any sky bars or regular chill out spots that you can suggest on Patong beach? or any beach clubs around or on Patong ?

Not the wrong country (I'd suggest the two previous posters to hang out in some other places if they get the chance) but definitely the wrong city. Phuket Town has some chilled places where the clientele at least doesn't look like street-side hookers. But that's on the other side of the island...

Patong Beach Club is on Beach Road but not on the actual beach but their cocktails are pretty good ("Collagen Lips" especially recommended). Music is not bad either.

Illuzion, White Room, VIP Room and Seduction are probably the best in Patong for entertainment value. Lowest ratio of hookers I think is White Room but then again this is Thailand. If a girl approaches you first its a good chance she is a hooker and the other ones with hawkish stares. The ones without those traits are what you are looking for.

Seduction and white room probably have least amount of working girls, but the latter is probably least "civilized" of all the clubs (though none are what big western cities would call "civilized", all are tourist joints).

If you are planning on hooking up but want to avoid paying for it, forget thai girls in the area, ones you will meet in clubs who are not in the trade are few and far between and probably have no interest in you. Stick to other tourists.

​But as others have said, if you have something against about working girls but looking to hook up, you are coming to wrong to place. And if looking for high end "civilized" kind of place/crowd, wrong bloody country.

In the morning she might need a taxi....you have paid again.

If you really want to meet a 'nice' girl with no expenses attached try going to a library or museum and be prepared to put in a lot of time and effort....then marry her......and you will still pay.

White Room is awful,that's where the video of the bouncers beating the crap out of some Aussie tourists came from not long ago,avoid Hollywood like the plague also with its super-aggressive hardman waiters that follow you around scowling at you!
I use to sit in the Aussie Bar (before White Room) and watch the weird and wonderful folk of Bangla go by,fantastic entertainment for the price of a beer!

I used to love a cheesy night out starting in Scruffy Murphy's,singing along with the band and a pint or three of expensive exported beer.Then stagger down to Tiger to throw some shapes,in the process making a young lady laugh enough at me to go home with me,sadly those times are now long gone!
