I believe the date for recounts has either passed or about to pass. Obviously it would be impossible to recount every state by December 13 if that is what you are implying.

Precisely. They have limited resources and have chosen to deploy those resources in the States where they believe they have the greatest chance of success

True, but there is also a practical consideration:  Why fund a recount that would confirm the election?

If someone wants to confirm the Trump victory (Donald Trump perhaps?) he can fund a recount in those states where Trump claims, without evidence, that there were millions of illegal votes cast.

Perhaps you can present your arguments to those who have made their decision and see if you can change their mind?

How can they have a greater chance of success when they have admitted they have zero to assume there is a problem in the states they have picked? It is obvious to any non partisan that it is simply the states that had the closest results for Trump that were selected. So, were they are lying when they said they weren't doing it to defeat Trump?

And Stein insisted the recount was not meant to block Trump, the surprise election winner, from becoming president.

You lost me with that comment.  Are we still discussing vote recounts and where to deploy limited resources for such recounts?  If so, I'm not trying to change anyone's mind, I just explained why the Green party funded the recount in the logical states.

Did you read the first paragraph of your reference?

" Jill Stein has requested a full recount of the presidential election in Wisconsin, alleging that foreign hackers could have skewed the result by obtaining the state’s voter database and then filing bogus absentee ballots."

If foreign hackers have learned how to skew elections, I think it's a very good idea to learn about it and take precautions before the next election.

Well, yes...good luck to him with the Carrier deal. He will need some luck because if he continues with the worst of the crazy trade rhetoric, the prospect of the rest of the world imposing tariffs on US manufacturing and services becomes more likely. Saying it for a domestic audience during an election campaign is one thing, trying to implement it is another thing altogether ( with much opposition from within the GOP).

They have said themselves that there is NO evidence of hacking. This is a fishing trip for funds for the Greens.  Apparently a judge has refused a hand count, saying there is not enough evidence to justify one.

Yep, big win for Don the Prez...or is it? Not all the jobs are staying. Plus it pretty much amounts to the Government paying companies to stay in the US via tax incentives. It sets a precedence that more companies will demand tax breaks in order to stay in the US. What's next? Subsidies?

He's not even president and has saved jobs. However I believe the sour grapes club will do everything they can to disparage it. Nothing shall be allowed to obscure the wailing and crying, even the good news for a thousand workers.

My bold.

You provide the link and then continue to print an absolute downright lie. the judge refused NOTHING! What the Judge actually said was (from YOUR link)

Quote

A judge ruled late Tuesday that a recount of Wisconsin's presidential ballots does not have to be performed by hand, leaving clerks in the state's 72 counties to determine the best method used.

Meaning if the clerks want to count by hand then its up to them. Sheesh! Trumps propensity for lying about everything is now endemic amongst his supporters, and you are so accepting of it you probably don't even realise what you wrote. It's just OK to lie with you lot.

Well 1300 of the Jobs are still going to Mexico and Trump unlike Obama has not created anything. The jobs that are remaining  are going to cost YOU the tax payer money in order to fund them staying. You don't like handing out social security cheques to the non workers yet here you are handing out social security cheques to the owners of big business for what might amount to billions. That seems sensible economics. All Trump did was threaten the company owner with financial sanctions and then promise other peoples money if some of the workers stay. You pay and Trump claims the credit. Brilliant - Not!

Obama took executive action to prevent an entire company (Pfizer) from moving to Ireland.  What do you call that?  He couldn't save Burger King...now a Canadian Company.  What the left don't seem to get is that lowering taxes often increases revenue and jobs.  Ask quite a few Californians how they like their new homes in Texas.  Nothing like finishing that 1040 Long, and being done with it, except for FBAR, of course, another Obama monster.  Google stashed 250 billion in foreign accounts in 2015 alone...but the pigs are worried about joe retired plumber with 10,000 in Bangkok Bank.

BTW...Goldman says Trump Presidency will benefit stocks in almost every sector.

Well, it seems to be a good thing for Goldman Sachs stock at least. It is up around 22% since Nov 8th and at a 52 week high. But I am sure it has nothing to do with all those ex-Goldman Sachs people that will be in the new administration. Drain the swamp and put in some Millionaires and Billionaires.

Trump's education pick says reform can 'advance God's Kingdom'

"The billionaire philanthropist whom Donald Trump has tapped to lead the Education Department once compared her work in education reform to a biblical battleground where she wants to "advance God's Kingdom."

"Trump’s pick, Betsy DeVos, a national leader of the school choice movement, has pursued that work in large part by spending millions to promote the use of taxpayer dollars on private and religious schools."

“It's very alarming,” said Rob Boston, a spokesman for Americans United for Separation of Church and State.

Boston’s group has referred to DeVos as a “four-star general in a deceptive behind-the-scenes war on

public schools and church-state separation.”

Meanwhile this month the Obama administration has CREATED 178 000 jobs in November and unemployment is now at 4.6%. You think Trump is going to beat that?? Not a chance! Keep your heads in the bucket and imagine Trump utopia.

Philippines' Rodrigo Duterte gets Donald Trump invite

"Trump's brief chat with the Duterte comes during a period of uncertainty about one of America's most important Asian alliances, marked by Duterte's hostility towards the US and his repeated threats to sever decades-old defence ties."

"In an interview with Reuters news agency during the election campaign, Trump said Duterte's comments showed

"a lack of respect for our country".

"Some experts, however, say Duterte's appointment of special envoys to Washington suggest that despite his hostility, he intends to keep good ties. Among those envoys is Jose Antonio, a multi-millionaire real-estate tycoon who bought the rights to name a new office tower in Manila "Trump Towers".  :whistling:

The "Two Trumps" surface in president-elect's transition

"Despite s tell-it-like-it- his reputation, Trump is fueled by a deep need to be liked, according to long-time associates."  :clap2:

"He often modulates his tone to his setting and frequently tries to curry favor with his audience by telling them what he thinks they want to hear."

"He often speaks in vague generalities, his policy plans short on details, and that allows supporters to read in what they wish."

In a nutshell.

And forget it. The huckster lost by 2.5+ million votes.

His little "victory tour" is embarrassing and pointless.

Trump: When audiences get bored I use 'the wall'

"You know, if it gets a little boring, if I see people sort of, maybe thinking about leaving, I can sort of tell the audience,

I just say, "We will build the wall!" and they go nuts."
