Search Box

Featured Replies

Sorry, I don't know if this has been previously reported, but since the new upgrade, the Search Box (top RH corner) isn't functional.

Congratulations on the new look and new features. The overall appearance is better in my opinion.

@Faz

I think it's not functional because the indexing of all the posts isn't finished yet.

It may also depend on the type of search you are doing, topic, content , forum etc.

I have used it without problem on "topics" but as said above, it will take a little time to settle in and for some aspects to be fully operational re: indexing.

Just bare with us as things get bedded in and everything settles down again.:thumbsup:

Hi Charlie, thanks for your response.

Unfortunately regardless of what page or Forum I'm viewing, the Search Box 'highlights' but a Cursor does not appear when I left click.

I'm not complaining, just advising, so it's an upgrade issue that isn't overlooked.

Perhaps as a Moderator it works for you as you have different Control settings.

As you say, the fine tuning is yet to be completed.

@Faz

Do you run perhaps an Ad Blocker ?

Which browser do you use ?

Edit: And you can only click in the search box about Half Way in the box, I always click Left next to the Magnifying glass. And if you click on the Magnifying glass, it will take you to the Advanced Search Page

Problem solved thanks to you MJCM.

Yes, clicking half way across the box nearer to the magnifying glass displays the cursor.

I downloaded W10 last week, just before the TV upgrade.

Prior to that I could always click to the left.

Thank you.  :wai2:
