Is Obesity a Very Serious Problem?
^^^ this is why people are fat. They like the process of getting fat and have a great dislike for the pain and persistence losing it entails. So they just gradually get fatter. To each his own and if someone doesn't value fitness or see any real value, up to them. Many of my friend seem to not care much. I wonder if the unhealthy often reflect on what it would be like to be healthy and come to the conclusion being unhealthy is a net positive. -

My degree is in chemistry. Physics was a mandatory part of the curriculum. I understand thermodynamics has been dropped as a subject from quite a few science and engineering courses. Not because it is irrelevant, because it is too hard. I said the laws of thermodynamics are the drivers of global warming and climate change. Show me your evidence they are not. I agree there are some fields of science open to dispute. Thermodynamics is not one of them, neither is the physics of infra-red radiation being absorbed by the carbon dioxide molecule. But hey, knock yourself out. If you can disprove the laws of thermodynamics, I'll nominate you for the Nobel Prize in Physics. -

Usa vs its Sanctuary cities, federal laws & Elections have consequences
So-called "Sanctuary Cities" undermine the rule of law and shouldn't be allowed to exist. Local "law enforcement" authorities and officials that refuse to cooperate with federal law enforcement agencies need to be held accountable for aiding and abetting lawbreakers, because in a nutshell, that is exactly what they choose to do (instead of doing their job). -

I can only respond based on stories I've read. And the stories include assertions he went cheap on safety and pushed the envelope on cost savings including an inexperienced armorer. Based on that data I believe he is liable for the womans death. Criminally Legally? Apparently not. But I bet there will be a substantial result in civil court. And really since OJ haven't we learned criminal courts don't always get it right?
