TAT focusing on domestic tourists in 2017

PATTAYA:--The Tourism Authority of Thailand is making domestic travelers the center of their 2017 strategic plan.

Speaking at the Cape Dara Resort Aug. 18, Klisada Rattanapaklit, director of TAT for eastern Thailand, told representatives from various tourism industries, Pattaya officials, hoteliers and the media that Thailand is going to continue to promote cultural and local tourism.

TAT is also planning to launch a smartphone app where Thai tourists can check out attractive places throughout the country as well as recommended hotels and places to shop.
