Aspirin has been around for 100 years.

these danged young'uns ought to listen to the wisdom of their grandparents.

Aspirin is still the wonder drug of the world.

I have never found anything better.

Bayer is not the only manufacturer of Aspirin, there's loads of other brand names widely available in Thailand, for example:

It was business as usual, they will sell you anything you want without regard to arbitrary quantity limits like in the UK in some places.

The UK quantity limits are there to protect the young, the stupid and the deranged from harming themselves.

I buy four large packs (90-100 tabs per pack) of Aspirin tablets every year in the UK to bring here as I take one a day, and I have never had the slightest trouble being sold them all in one go in any UK supermarket. I just explain to the pharmacist why I want them.

As other poster noted, aspirin is available in multiple brands in Thailand. It is not disappearing from the shelves and not at all hard to find.

It is only Bayer brand that is being reformulated, that will probably stop being available for a while until the new preparation comes out, but there are  plenty of alternatives.
