Some people are warning Thai women no to fall victim to his charms and end up with their pictures and adventures on his website, reported Thairath. While others are just saying it is a young man enjoying himself rather innocently across Asia doing nothing wrong. But the Thai police are in no doubt at this point: Somporn Daengdee of the Technology Crime Suppression Division was asked about David Bond by Thai Rath online reporters and said: "Frankly I don't know anything about this individual called David Bond. No one has reported any crime to us. There has therefore been no investigation". He stressed that there was no evidence and no case to answer against the man and that no crime has been committed to his knowledge. David Bond has posted his adventures with women all across Asia from Hong Kong to Japan, Taiwan to Korea and has been known to be in Thailand recently though his Facebook page was taken down temporarily. He has been filming secretly chatting up women in places like Terminal 21, Khao Sarn road and other areas of Sukhumvit in Bangkok. His modus operandi is to say: You are beautiful. He then asks for the girl's Line ID. He invites them on a date. Then supposedly ends up in bed. But there is no evidence of him filming any sex scenes though many people apparently paid $17 dollars to access his chat up techniques and meet up videos online in pay per view thinking they would see raunchy scenes at the end. But they were disappointed. Bond delivers more travel tips than sex tips. And the playboy himself has even appeared online to state that making money from filming secret sex is not his game. He just likes Asian women. He created a scandal in Hong Kong and managed to get 3.5 million views on a YouTube story that turned out to just be a fake story about his pinching someone else's woman. This has not stopped Thai netizens worried about Thai women falling victim to his charms sending out warnings across social media to be careful of the "predator". A rambling article published online by Thai Rath uncovered very little new in the matter. Except perhaps the salient points from the police that no crime has been committed. The Thai reporters even failed miserably to get in touch with the US man at all saying that they could not get a comment from the man at the center of the Playboy or Predator story. Not sure if this was his intention, but even negative publicity is publicity; he is being made infamous by social media and for him this means at least a few thousand clicks........................... I hope he realises that beyond the whole 'face' thing, and making 'Thailand look bad' etc which the powers won't like, there could well be a whole other range of issues relating to plastering an Asian woman's reputation all over cyberspace, especially if her male relatives see it.... There was a blog link posed on the other thread about him recently (1 - 2 weeks ago?). In this blog he explained something like: 1. His first 'steal an asian gf' or whatever video was just a set up to gain YT views 2. Unfortunately for him (at the time) the Chinese media outlets bought into the story 3. This caused him pain as lots of fictitious things were said about him just to sell stories 4. He contacted the outlets but they weren't interested in the truth 5. He then decided that if he couldn't get them to print the truth, he would just keep on pranking them 6. Now he just hires 'web workers' to post various things on social media and contact news agencies to create a storm, which he then benefits from due to traffic to his website, people buying access to videos the 'media leads them to believe are raunchy' (but aren't), and of course general TY views and publicity. So, he is nobody special and is just a prime example of how rubbish the media is and how they will jump on anything that pulls the emotional strings of their readers. (Here in Asia, it seems a white guy stealing an Asian girl gets the readers going??) It's fine to be doing what young men do, have always done, in every country, ie try to 'enjoy' as much a possible as part of the search for a partner ( or in addition/alternative to that search). What is plainly repulsive about him is that he thinks it's ok, 'normal', interesting, noteworthy to put these pursuits ( even without the raunchy sex scenes) on the net. It is a massive invasion of privacy and he should be deported. He can perfect his technique back in the US, although I doubt that it would be tolerated there for long.
