Hello,

We avoid swimming in the sea these days, since we saw a lady being burned last Saturday by a jellyfish on Lamai and having read the russian boy story :-/

Our 8 yo daughter loves water, and we are looking for places where we can go on week-ends for lunch or snack and use the swimming pool at the same time. We had a few experiences where only hotels guests could use the swimming pool, and now this makes the difference for us in our choice of restaurant ;-)

All addresses are welcome and your favorites will be greatly appreciated :-) :-)

Perhaps try this place between Maenam and Ban Por.... almost opposite the Susco gas station... Several restaurants and fun things for kids.

Recommended, been there with my son and his friend many times.

Western and Thai food at Thai prices.

180 baht for children, 350 for adults to use the swimming area.

More pics here.

PS

They have an amazing noodle soup with spareribs.

The Irish Times nr Tesco Chaweng has a pool in the same place that it open to the public til 2100hrs. AFAIR the price was 100 bhat inc a towel. Monthly tickets were available @THB 500. Prices may have changed but it will still be great value.

The food in the Irish Times is great and you can park there. Their Sunday Roasts are excellent :)

There is a restaurant on the mountain with a decent swimming pool called Mountain Grand View. I think they charge 100 Baht for the pool. Map: 9.478887, 99.997131

THank you all :)

@ikbenhet, we were surprised, but we were told twice that we couldn't use the swimming pool. As an example, 2 days ago we had a nice lunch at Wanta resort. We were the only customers, the restaurant was 100% empty, and the adjacent swimming pool was also totally empty. But they said we couldn't use the pool, only for hotel guests :-/

In the meantime, we had 2 nice experiences:

  • Tallay (Crystal cove) which is amazing, great food + great pool
  • Kob Thai in Lamai with a very small pool, ok for kids to play :-)

Any other addresses welcome !

Coco Splash in Lamai is a great option – has little restaurant also – my daughter loved it, when she was 8 y.o...

And they will give you 50% residence discount if you have a Thai driving licence with Samui address.

And – if not changed since I was there last – free entrance if you are retired and over 65..!
I like the long blue twister, but don't fancy the scaring banana...:shock1:
