Monday, 3 officers in uniform (one I haven't seen before) came to my house and gave me a form to fill out as to my passport number and nationality, etc. One of the officers showed me another paper (as I was enquiring if I'd done something wrong) with the names of 7 or 8 more foreigners on it.  The form header was something like "Trans Criminal...." something. My wife filled it out and the gents were back Tuesday morning to pick it up. Has anyone else received the same form and if so, do you know what this is about?

I don't know why you got your wife to fill it out but there's a thread here from the Chiang Mai subforum.

I'm well known to the local police... hang on, let me rephrase that... so I'm sure any evil plan to deport all farangs would have been reported.

What could they do if someone refuses to do the form?  Do police have the authority to deport someone?

I'd rather not go down that path personally, I'm fully aware that immigration officers have police rank and they could easily become involved.
