Yesterday morning, I bought two cups of tea at "Tate Cafe" on just below the Arrivals Floor. The total cost for these two small cups was 179 baht! Each cup was 85 baht and there was a 9 baht service charge (5%) for dunking the teabags into the luke warm water.

I asked where the price of the tea was displayed for the public....the assistant scanned the two menus on the wall and agreed that there wasn't any information on the price. She looked embarrassed and surprised and responded with "It's very bad isn't it? No good." I had to chuckle as it wasn't her fault and there was nobody "in charge" at 06.00.

Beware of Tate Cafe....and every other rip-off joint there.

How about a mini-protest? bring one or two thermoses of nice hot tea and a phalanx of paper cups. As you're offering free tea to smiling travelers, make sure the famously inept management knows why you're doing it.

Family Mart has hot coffee and tea, prices normal.

Kind enough to tell us where family mart is the location at the new airport?

at mkst levels, it does not look like the familiair blue/white city-outlets. most are at the BACK side behind all the other mishaps.

once again: ANYwhere are plnety of helpful, friendly, staffed HELPdesks: I really wonder why people panick so much here to have to know anything before.
