The Birther issue was popularized by Right Wing Media when they started demanding Obama's birth certificate in June 2008, after he was presumptive nominee. That is when the term 'birther' started. Almost nobody paid attention to the single Clinton 2008 Campaign staffer who sent an email about Obama's Kenya connection except for Obama's campaign. Since that staffer was dismissed, the Campaign disavowed the allegation and Clinton conceded the nomination to Obama, the story went away until the Right wing media popularized it, followed by Trump very publicly owning and funding the movement.

 

The allegation that Clinton popularized the birther movement is a blatant lie designed to divert attention from Trump's very public ownership and leadership of the issue.

 

Trump provided resources for stupid people to go to Hawaii to 'investigate' this lie. Trump constantly referred to the lie in TV interviews. Trump and the Right Wing media took an insignificant issue that nobody was aware of and turned it into a national campaign to try to delegitimize Obama.

 

The only people still beating this dead horse are the racists who will do anything to try to demean Obama and his Presidency. It is quite typical of the nasty attack dogs to use such racism together with the obvious sexism that is on show here to try and pull everyone into the gutter with them.

It was the Right Wing media who popularized this. The term Birther is inextricably linked to the issue of the Birth Certificate. This is what the Right Wing media and Trump demanded. Nobody from Clintons Campaign demanded any birth certificate.

 

It was popularized once it became liked to the birth certificate issue.

 

No amount of posting selective links to the issue of the dismissed Campaign staffer can deny this fact.

 

The issue of Obama in Somali national costume is entirely irrelevant and you know and as has been demonstrated countless times on countless threads.
