Shipping Motorbike by Post Office -No Green Book?

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Looking at shipping a motobike from CM to the South, but it has no green book. Is it possible, through the post office?

 Thanks a lot

We just shipped one the other way and they do need a copy of the book, also a copy of your passport or Thai id.

They need prove of ownership, makes sense after all.

The Thai guy who looks after my m/cycles gets bikes sent up to CM on the overnight bus.

Bikes are stripped wrapped loaded and collected at bus station.

You need to prove ownership. If they do it without, the bike may be somewhere else tomorrow. So up to you as they say :)

Received and sent bikes by Thai Post that didn't have books.

But that was some years ago. It might have changed and might depend on your local post office.

Just go there and ask.

Sounds like a hot bike, you can probably get 1000B in

the village for it.

Yes I bought a hot bike ( sorry I mean my brother) ( sorry I mean my friends brother ), ( Sorry I mean.... )

Oh, never mind :)

I shipped a motorbike from Pattaya to Central Thailand, did not need a green book.

'Go there and ask'  Best advice.  As you can see by the replies there is no definitive answer on TVF.

No, green book needed.

Have shipped a bike from Pattaya to Buriram only 6 days ago via the post office , they want green book and id before shipping , they took photocopies of green book and passport before they would ship . They wrapped the bike ,200 baht , I thought a very good service.

OP you should check into the bus. We also have used the bus to send things. Faster than post, but not sure about cost.  We have sent motorcycles, Documents, product samples etc via bus. The bus is cheap and fast compared to post.  I dont know if we had to show the Green book as our staff handled this, however I would show the green book but not give it to anyone.
