I'm not getting this. The local government hospital does have nurses and the machine. the test itself might take 2 minutes. There are no photos to develop. But seeing the size of the blood clots in both calf muscles would help.

 

Why can't they just do it - on a standby basis, at night, some time, any time? They could call me day or night and 30 minutes later, I would be there.

 

They could charge me triple.

 

That appointment, combined with them not having the right dose of Clexane for heavier people, bothers me. The INR was just 1.45 after a week's treatment. Now, they just do the same thing for another week!

The cost for that same test at a private hospital, on an almost walk in basis, in Chiang Mai, is about 800 baht - perhaps an alternative you might consider.
