Deaf children use sign language to pay tribute to the late King

KHON KAEN, 22 October 2016 (NNT) – Children with hearing impairments in Khon Kaen province use sign language to convey their respects to HM the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. 

Students and teachers at Sotsuksa Khon Kaen School For The Deaf gathered in front of His Majesty’s portrait and together paid tribute the their beloved King in sign language. 

Students used sign language to express their love, loyalty, and gratitude to the late King who, during his reign, was at the forefront in enhancing the quality of life of people with disabilities. 

One of the twelfth graders, Jenjira Esayaporn, who is a hearing impaired person, said she admired His Majesty the King’s contribution to Thai society as the King initiated projects in many areas such as farming, fishing, livestock raising, and rain making. 

She said she would always remember the late King and his teachings.
