Herbal capsule for weight lose, digestion assistance

Hi guys,

 I heard about variety of herbal capsule that help to reduce weight,

anyone of you tried such product before with good progress results?

Also if any herbal or medicine to help for digestion problems,

these medication needed for a woman aged in the mid 50s.

if any relevant ideas, will be highly appreciated,

Most of these pills will give you diarrhea and by doing that they make you lose weight.

The big problem is after you stop taking these pills(there are any different kinds) your weight

will just go up again.

Only a permanent chance of diet or limit of intake (change of lifestyle) will help you to control weight.

Exercise does help but the main thing will be the diet(i hate that word)It takes will power and the making of the right choices.

I used to sell a lot of supplements and dietary products but when it comes down to it i do not really belief

in the benefit they supposedly supply.

Ok for athletes but for normal people eating a normal diet the only benefit is for the person  selling these products.

Try not to eat anything with added sugar and no soda pop,cola ,sprite etc.

Start slowly and adjust what you are eating and drinking,if you just lose 5 kilos a year and can keep it of that is a great start.

Yes, Totally agreed with you based on my personal experience, I did the change of life style for many years ago, and everything fit in  place indeed, 

but this I am asking for, is the wife of my friend, she's in the mid 50s of age, over weight, with high cholesterol in blood,

so we need something to boost her process ,, let's say in 3 - 4 months and will continue in changing life style to keep in shape and improve health condition,

if anything that is safe with no side effects will be considered,

I am not going to mention brand names but stay away from anything that increases the heart rate.(BPM)

I would not buy anything myself but would stop eating carbohydrates for awhile,safe the money for a nice massage or something like that.(reward)

To get started let her write down everything she eats and drinks for the next ten days or so.

Then go over the list and cut out what she can do without.

Not easy to give advice without knowing the person and her medical condition.Consult a doctor first before doing any thing drastic.

Knowing her age i would get some bloodwork done to see if it is safe to maybe try fasting for a few days to kickstart things.

Maybe juicing is something for her?

There are lots of options and everybody has to find what works for them,for every person who does well on one diet there seems to be one who does not benefit from it.

Actually, you don't need to use capsules that may have high cost. Because there are some natural products that can help you in both weight loss and digestive improvement.  You are active to consume them without so much effort and money by adding them into your meals everyday. I just lost 18 lbs in 22 days..not bad until you consider it was all fluid, the loss a result of a prescribed, post surgical diuretic.  

My point is that so many products promoting weight loss contain such things as diuretics and even worse and really only provide temporary loss having nothing whatsoever to do with reduction of fat or body mass.  

Permanent, long term weight loss means fat reduction and that really boils down to input vs. output. Very simply put, you must burn more than you eat.   There are a plethora of diet philosophies out there, each with it's own adherents and detractors.  Your friend should do her reading, choose a diet program that she thinks she could adhere to and give it a shot.

+1 to the above.

 

Supposed herbal weight loss pills/drinks in Thailand fall into 2 groups:

 

1- Those that are dimply laxatives. Not healthy and the apparent weight loss is an illusion, it is just a temporary loss of fluid and intestinal contents from the diarrhea.

 

2 - Those that contain dangerous stimulants. Deaths have been reported from them and I have seen many Thai women hospitalized with dangerous heart arrythmias from them. Avoid.

 

It may sound less appealing than an herbal pill or drink, but diet and exercise are what will work and is safe.

I suggest trying GARCINIA CAMBOGIA which has been studied to be safe for using in about 4 month stretches. It's basically a fruit. There are no longer term studies about safety when using longer than that, so the prudent thing is to take breaks between the stretches.

It helps SOME people with reducing cravings and their blood sugar levels influencing amount of appetite, which can be very helpful in weight loss.

Taking off pounds is not difficult- EAT WHEN HUNGRY STOP WHEN FULL, add a bit more exercise and cut down on the booze, there are no magic pills.

I agree there are no magic pills.

I wasn't suggesting Garcinia Cambogia is a magical pill.

I said it helps some people and I do believe that from personal experience.

I also think what you wrote is absurdly simplistic, but that's not the topic here.

If anyone wants to lose weight they must FIRST get their head in gear..NO excuses, just head in gear.....I did, I now eat once a day, folk will say....:shock1:....but I have done it for the last 5 years and in the gym have increased the weight l can shift....Oh, I am the wrong side of my seventh decade...But still hansum...:giggle:
