PATTAYA: -- At 2.30am, on the morning of November 3, Pattaya Walking Street tourist police were called to intervene in a fight between two foreigners.

Mr. Omid Zabihan, a twenty-seven year old Iranian, appeared to be drunk and was crying in pain from head wound. He was also bleeding from the left ear and has been taken to Pattaya Memorial for treatment.

The suspect, forty-year old New Zealander Mr Philip Halaka, said he was strolling along Walking Street and had stopped to chat to a group of ladyboys.

At that point the victim walk behind him and grabbed his backside. He said he simply pushed the man away and he fell to the ground, hitting his head in the process.

He insisted he did not attack the Iranian.

Head injury for that , are your insane. Why not shooting at  him?

Quite an unbalanced response to an offense.

A slap in the face ok, thats enough

evidently from your response here you don't regard such an offence to be particularly serious? But just remember  when your next at 30,000 feet dont expect to get away with a slap on the face from an airline crew member if you touch them the same way as this Iranian guy did.

If the Iranian man grabbed the other guys backside, then he got what he deserved.

I would have done the same, that is sexual assault.

I disagree, a man grabbing another mans backside is a sexual offence, and a man who does that deserves one good hard kicking.

Where I come from if you're a man over 40 and drunk randy young swarthy dudes are grabbing your ass, you're a happy camper! :partytime2:

Please don't be a hater on Omid ... he's on holiday! Loosen up.

So, a gays get a pass on sexual assault, and the complainant gets a homophobe brand.

That is institutional hypocrisy. To object to it is not hate.

I was just joking around. It really sounds like this tourist was just very drunk. I think it's more about that than anything. As I'm not running for president and I don't host a morning talk show, I think I can spew some "locker room talk" about some butt grabbing.

Ok for you but god help anyone who may decide to feel/do the same to you or maybe a lady or something. Somebody gonna be screaming rape and/or assault.

Nothing good happens after midnight or so my grandmother used to tell me. If you grab

a guys ass catching him unawares, you really have to expect a mule kick. If you are drunk,

stupid and off balance, this is a possible outcome. The Iranian guy has to accept it as an

accident he caused and learn from his mistakes. :coffee1:

Not likely, the average New Zealander isn't the transgenderphobic mess one finds on T-V.
