PHUKET: -- Forensic police yesterday (Nov 2) attended Kathu Police Station to continue with the investigation into the fatal shooting of Sakol Srisompotch, the President of the Patong Tuk-Tuk Club, on October 25.

During the course of yesterday afternoon, forensic officers collected ballistics information and also carried out a further forensic examination of the tuk-tuk Mr Sakol was driving at the time of the shooting.

Mr Sakol was shot dead in Kathu on the morning of Oct 25 in what police believe is a personal dispute.

Police have already arrested two suspects for their part in the public slaying of Mr Sakol.

Wattana “Dam” Nawakeaw, 38, was taken into custody after a warrant for his arrest was issued last Friday (Oct 28).

If it's anything like the Koh Tao investigation, the forensics evidence will already have been destroyed from day one.

And they turn up a week after the event which only confirms the lack of interest and professionalism. Unless of course the were busy examining the crime scene at the local bridge club or karaoke bar.

Why forensics? When your arrested in Thailand your guilty until you are told you are guilty...forensics will only complicate things.

You're a little ray of sunlight tonite aren't you!
