PHUKET: -- Five homes in Mai Khao were completely destroyed last night (Nov 3) by a fire which police were told was caused by a lit candle falling onto a bed.

Tha Chatchai Police Capt Thanom Thongpan was notified by a local resident at 10pm yesterday that a fire had broken out at some homes located near the mangrove forest in Soi Bangdook, Baan Makprok in Mai Khao.

Sad story to hear of families being without their homes because of a fire caused by a candle.

My dad's house burned  down because of careless use of a few candles, it is a shock to see

a whole home gone so quickly.
